Clear the area and make dump runs to start fresh.

2. Planning and Materials:
Map out the perimeter of your fence, starting with corner posts. Use a string line and spray paint to mark post locations every eight feet. Gather the necessary materials, including 4×4 posts, 2×4 horizontal braces, and quality pickets for a successful job.

3. Installing 4×4 Posts:
Dig holes with a post-hole digger or auger, ensuring a depth of two feet. Mount the 4×4 posts securely in concrete, checking for levelness. Backfill with crusher run and compact for stability.

4. Horizontal 2×4 Braces:
Create a template to mark the height of horizontal braces. Screw in the 2×4 braces to the posts, adjusting for visual appeal. Ensure the posts align between the two horizontal braces.

5. Fence Pickets:
Establish a level line for consistent picket height. Install pickets one by one, securing them with two nails per horizontal brace. Adjust the grade as needed and ensure a tight fit between pickets.

By following these steps, you can achieve a clean and aesthetically pleasing fencing installation, turning your backyard into a transformed space. Embrace the DIY spirit, and soon you’ll be enjoying the privacy and beauty of your newly installed fencing.
